I attended your session on sketch up yesterday Saturday dec. 13,2014. I have waited many months for someone to give this class and it was great! Too bad it was only 2 hours long, as I could have been there all day learning the great things from you. Please pass along my thanks to others who helped put the class together and do such a good job. CUwoodworking continues to bring great things like this to this area of the country and yes it is sorely needed by we people……..your consumers. PIC1 PIC2

The CU Woodshop Supply’s course on the Festool track system was a very well presented and informative program which serves both the prospective and current users. Jon Morrison’s depth of knowledge and experience with the equipment made the course time well spent. It has been a pleasure to deal with CU Woodshop and their most helpful staff.

I am retired and woodworking is one of my hobbies so I was glad when you decided to put a wood store in Champaign. My shopping experiences have all been great. Your sales people are always friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful in deciding what product to purchase to get the results that I want. Most recently I purchased a 14” Delta band saw from Mike Van Pelt to replace an old 10” that I had for many years. I took it home and started using it. I liked the way it preformed but was having problems with the top wheel rubbing on the shield when I tried to get my blades to track. I called and talk to Mike about my problem. After some discussion he decided to come to my shop 30 miles away after work on Saturday to help me with my problem. I would call that above the call of duty on his part. He showed up right on the time that he said he would. After doing some fine tuning and adjusting the saw for all three blade sizes that I had, he hade it working like a top. I would like to let you know how much I appreciated his help. It was like having a personal class on how to use a band saw. Mike went out of his way to make sure I was a satisfied customer. This speaks very highly of your employers! I was not expecting this kind of service. I would most certainly recommend your store to others that have an interest in woodworking. Again, I want to thank Mike for his help and friendly shop visit. I know I will be back to purchase other products from your store.

Feedback from last night's class:

Our neighbors had a great time and are VERY pleased with their new bottle stoppers. The husband started out a little unsure about his wife's idea. By the end, he had successfully completed his first ever wood-working project and was planning on recommending the class to the next TWO sets of tenants. He was also intrigued by the picture of the corkscrew hardware in the catalog.

The wife was so pleased with the class that we think she might be planning a new hobby when she gets settled back in Japan. Not only did she take the URL of the company to order supplies, she quizzed Allan & Mike about the minimum equipment necessary. She also mentioned that she's sorry she hadn't taken more classes with us.

And, their daughter was thrilled to find out she fit into the bright pink CUWS t-shirt.

Mike did an excellent job; he had the materials prepped, he had obviously planned the flow of the class (talk, do, talk, do, etc), and he was great at answering questions and quietly monitoring the students.

Thanks again for making this happen!!
